General Competencies

The General Competencies for the Lay Specified Ministry of Pastor have been officially released and you can download them by clicking on the link below.

Presbyteries are to conduct a General Competency assessment of each pastor under their pastoral oversight and:

1. Develop from that assessment a Learning Agreement for the continuing Professional Education of the Pastor

2. Report on a yearly basis to the Ministerial Education Board (MEB) on the progress of each Pastor with regards to their Continuing Professional Education,  in their Presbytery
